On Friday September 20th, Christopher Blay will join Julie Speed in an artist-led walkthrough during the opening of "The Suburbs of Eden". Blay is the newest Director of Public Programs at the national Juneteenth Museum in Fort Worth. The Liberian born American artist, curator and writer was the Chief Curator of the Houston Museum of African American Culture from 2021 - 2024. He is also a contributing writer for Art in America with essays on Jammie Holmes, Julie Speed and David-Jeremiah. HIs most recent solo exhibition for his studio practice was Ritual SpLaVCe at the Galveston Arts Center, 2024. We hope you can join us in Marfa for a memorable weekend!
